La Sagrada Família is an unfinished Roman Catholic minor basilica in Barcelona, Spain.
Construction began in 1882 and continues, making it the largest unfinished Catholic church globally. Designed by architect Antoni Gaudí, La Sagrada Familia showcases his style, blending Spanish Gothic, Art Nouveau, and Catalan modernism. Gaudí incorporated nature and symbolism into the design. The interior pillars resemble tree trunks, creating a "concrete forest" effect.
Humpback whales, Orcas, Gray whales, Minke whales, Fin whales, and Beluga whales.
They migrate to Alaska's waters in the spring to feed, returning south to breed in the fall. Humpbacks are known for their acrobatic displays, including breaching and tail slapping.
The best time to see whales in Juneau is during the summer months, from May through September, when the greatest number of humpbacks are in the area to feed.
Tours typically launch from Auke Bay and navigate the nutrient-rich channels where whales are known to feed.
In addition to whales, tours often provide opportunities to see other marine wildlife like sea lions, porpoises, and bald eagles.
